Ellen Jane Colby, 78, passed away at Niobrara Community Hospital Wed., Jan. 29, 2020.

Ellen dictated her own obituary:

Ellen was well known to be the little lady that drove the big red truck.

If you didn't take the time to come see me when I was alive, you don't need to come see me when I'm dead. (No services per her request).

If you're reading this, pick up the phone and call those you care about and tell them that you love them.

She is survived by her only child (she stopped with perfection) Brenda; her favorite sisters: Emma Lou and Judith Ann; her brother Darryl; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In closing: Good-bye y'all - I've gone fishin' with my little brother Todd and my dad. Mom's cookin' in the kitchen.
