Irma M. (Zerbst) Wasserburger, 78, passed from this life on Thursday, May 28th, 2020 at Niobrara Community Hospital in Lusk, Wyoming.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Leo's Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Tue., June 2, 2020. The family asks that this be for family and close friends. Public graveside services at Lusk Cemetery will be held following the Mass, at approximately 11:00.

Irma was born on Saturday, August 30, 1941. She was the daughter of William "Bill" R. Zerbst and Edna A. (Butolph) Zerbst. Irma grew up on the family ranch and graduated from Newcastle high school in 1958.

She met her husband Jim at a country dance and they were married July 8th, 1961. From their loving union they brought three boys into this world: Kenneth, Dennis, and Benjamin.

Irma devoted herself to being a loving wife and mother. Her family meant everything to her and she never wavered in caring for her spirited bunch.

She was renowned county wide for her magnificent baking skills, and her pies were sought after at the county fair. She enjoyed a magnitude of crafts throughout the years, including leather crafting, quilting, ceramics, crocheting, and making beautiful wedding cakes. She was also a member of a local homemakers club and relished spending time with her grandchildren.

She and Jim also enjoyed Alaskan cruses with longtime family friends.

Irma will be held lovingly in the hearts of her husband Jim, sons Kenny and Ben; daughter-in-law Kellie; grandchildren Kaycee, Krystal, Dyllynn, and Devon; along with great-grandchildren and numerous other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, William "Bill" R. Zerbst; mother Edna A. Zerbst; her younger brother Leonard A. Zerbst; and her beloved son, Dennis J. Wasserburger.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Niobrara Community Hospital.
