On Monday, June 28, 2021, Jackie Eugene Dobbs passed away peacefully at the Niobrara Community Hospital in Lusk, Wyoming at 81 years of age.

Jack was born on January 11, 1940 in Dewey, Oklahoma to Jack and Evelyn Dobbs. They moved to the Gillette area with his siblings, Norma and Paul, where Jack graduated high school and joined the United States Air Force. Upon leaving the Air Force Jack became an Electrical Contractor until retirement. Jack married Charmaine Washington and they had three boys together, William, Robert and Johnathon. Jack was remarried to Lavon Rathbun in 1983 and remained so until his death.

Jack was avid about camping and fishing wherever there was water. He was also a pilot and owned several airplanes. The passion he carried throughout his life was the reading of a good book.

Jack was preceded in death by his father, Jack, mother, Evelyn, and his brother, Paul. He is survived by his wife Lavon, his three boys, William, Robert and Johnathon, two step-sons, Frank and Rodney, his sister, Norma, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at Mount Pisgah Cemetery, Gillette, WY, on Friday July 2nd at 1 PM.
