Winona "Kay" Green, 86, of Manville, Wyoming, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at the Life Care Center of Casper, Wyoming. Kay was born in Petty Township, Lawrence County, Illinois, to Madge and Harlie Pepple on October 8, 1937. She attended high school in Bridgepoint, Illinois. She married the love of her life, Jack Austin Green, on December 22, 1954. They had two children, Mark Austin and Theresa Kim. They built their home in Sumner, Illinois, and lived there until the fall of 1968. Jack was employed with Marathon Oil, and they accepted a transfer to Lance Creek, Wyoming. In 1975, they moved to their home in Manville, Wyoming. During that time, Kay worked part-time at the Silver Dollar Bar in Lusk and The Three Sisters Truck Stop in Manville. She also opened an Antique store in Lusk and then one in Manville. She always loved antiques; over the years, she bought, sold, collected, and displayed them in her beautiful home. Kay and Jack always loved riding their motorcycle and touring many states across the U.S. Kay also enjoyed camping, fishing, dancing, reading, and crafting. Kay was always kind, loving, and friendly. She had an outgoing, upbeat personality and a beautiful smile. Over the years, she made many friends, and she cherished them all. Kay loved her family very much, and spending time with them was very important to her. Kay is survived by her daughter Kim Berdahl (Steve); granddaughter, Carrie Keith, grandson Erick Berdahl; and grandchildren Rhys, Adalyn, Lyvie Cay Berdahl, Kayberlee, and Kinzlee Daniels, all of Casper, WY. Sisters-in-law Mary Pepple of Shelburn, Indiana, Marilyn Pepple of Cincinnati, Ohio, cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, her husband, Jack; son, Mark; sister, Beatrice Thompson; brothers Leland, Lenard, Bill, and Tom Pepple. Memorial donations may be made to Meals on Wheels at the Niobrara Senior Center P.O. Box 928, Lusk, WY. 82225.
