Marcia Ann Bruegger

Marcia Ann Bruegger, 65, passed away on Wednesday, August 26th, 2026, at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, WY.

A visitation for the family will be held on the morning of September 2nd, 2026, at the Pier Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM at Prairie Hills Community Center in Lusk, Wyoming, with Rev. George Harty officiating. Burial will be at the Lusk Cemetery.

Marcie was born June 9th, 1961, in Rawlins, WY, to Bill and Billie Ann Lucas. She graduated from Cheyenne East High School and was a member of Job’s Daughters International. She attended Hastings College, the University of Wyoming, and Eastern Wyoming College. Marcie was the director for the Helpmate Crisis Center in Lusk; she was devoted to her work and cared deeply for the people she met through the center. In 2012, she was named Professional of the Year for Nonprofit / Crime Victim Assistance.

On September 21st, 1985, Marcie married Mark Bruegger of Van Tassell, WY. The couple welcomed their daughter, Krista, in 1986. Marcie was a wholeheartedly committed mother; she dedicated every moment to creating a warm, supportive home. Marcie always offered a kind word and genuine smile to everyone she met.

She is survived by her husband, Mark Bruegger; father, Bill Lucas; nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Billie Ann Lucas; sister, Debra Lambert; and her daughter, Krista Bruegger.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Krista Bruegger Scholarship Fund at Lusk State Bank.
