Mark Johnson was born March 25, 1952 in Yakima, Washington to Raymond J. Johnson and Gertrude Elizabeth Gaylord Johnson. He passed away on July 8, 2017, at the Niobrara Community Hospital in Lusk,from a lengthy battle with cancer. As a child, Mark enjoyed several adventures at his Aunt and Uncle's cabin above Rimrock lake in Washington. His high school years were in Bellingham, Washington. In the 1980' Mark joined the Washington National Guard and proudly served his country for 22 years. First with the Washington National Guard and the Wyoming National Guard when they moved to Lusk ,Wyoming in 1996.

He wad preceded in death by his parents, step-mother; Anna Margaret Johnson and one grandson Alex Mendoza.

He is survived by wife Gayle of Lusk; sons; Nicholas of Lusk, Michael and his fiancé Manda and their daughter Amethyst of Mills, Wy. daughter Melody Wilborn and her sons, Jonathon, Chase and Diego of Des Moines, IA; Son Malcom and wife Thressa and their sons Myles, Keltic, Orion and Will of Des Moines, IA; daughter April Fortune and her daughter Aurora and son Scott of Bellingham, WA; brother Ozzie Johnson of Yakima, Washington, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial are suggested to Rocky Mountain Oncology in Casper, Wyoming.
