Michael P. Polen passed away Sunday morning, August 26th, 2018, at Niobrara Community Hospital in Lusk, Wyoming. He was born December 28th, 1962 to Paul Willis Polen and Sally Jean Smith in Alliance, OH. He graduated from Oregon City High School in 1981. Michael married his high school sweetheart, Heather Leigh Stewart, on January 15th, 1994. Together, they owned Pacific Restoration, a fire and water restoration company before moving to Wyoming in 2005. In 2007, he began work for Baker Hughes as a nitrogen crew supervisor through October of 2013. Michael greatly enjoyed cooking, hunting, fishing, and barbecuing for family and friends. Michael is survived by his wife Heather, sister Elizabeth Hatch, sons Jeremy Michael, Jacob Paul, Connehr Stewart, daughters Alix Yoder and Rhiannon Santistevan and four grandchildren, Abbie, Leah, Cora and Aurin Michael. Family and friends are invited to the Lusk branch, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Saturday, September 1st, at 11 o'clock in the morning to commemorate the life of a loved husband and father. In lieu of flowers, donations for Operation Underground Railroad are greatly accepted.
