Dale Wayne Jefcoat

Dale Wayne Jefcoat, 66, of Lusk died Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Niobrara Health and Life Center.

Services will be held at Lusk Elks Lodge #1797 on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 1:30 pm with the Elks Lodge #1797 officiating. Burial of ashes will be held at the Lusk Cemetery at a later date.

Dale was born February 21, 1950 in Lusk to Glen "Jeff" and Marjory (Ruda) Jefcoat. Dale was raised with two half-sisters, one half-brother and one full brother. Marjory had her hands full so Dale lived with his Grandma Carrie and Grandpa Robert Ruda for most of his childhood.

Dale graduated from NCHS in 1970. During his lifetime, he worked in oilfields, was janitor at NCHS and Manville and numerous other places. He broke horses and had many other jobs.

He really enjoyed the time he spent on the Rodeo Circuit with Chris LeDoux and JV Vondra.

Dale married Robyn Tollman on June 29, 2007 in Lusk. They started buying and working with horses, which was a shared love of both. They rode in the St Jude Ride for St. Jude Children's Hospital for 6 years.

Dale has been an Elks member for many years.

Dale had many friends and knew no strangers. Close lifelong friends include, Paul Swartz, Russ Crowley and Steve Kant.

Survivors include wife, Robyn Jefcoat, sister, Bonnie Santillanes and numerous other relatives.

Dale was preceded in death by his brother Chuck Jefcoat, mother Marjory (Ruda) Hardy (Harding), step-father Tom Hardy (Harding), Grandma Carrie Ruda and Grandpa Robert Ruda.

The family suggests memorials to the Lusk Elks Lodge #1797 or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
