She married the love of her life, Jack Austin Green, on December 22, 1954. They had two children, Mark Austin, and Theresa Kim. They built their home in Sumner, Illinois and lived there until the fall of 1968. Jack was employed with Marathon Oil, and they accepted a transfer to Lance Creek, Wyoming. She also opened an Antique store in Lusk and then one in Manville. She always had a love for antiques and over the years she bought, sold, and collected and displayed them in her beautiful home.   Kay and Jack always loved riding their motorcycle and touring to many different states across the U.S. Kay also enjoyed camping, fishing, dancing, reading, and crafting.

Kay was always such a kind, loving and friendly person, with an outgoing, upbeat personality and a beautiful smile. She made many friends over the years, and she cherished them all.
